Provider: Dina L. Wilde, M.A. Sp. Ed., Coordinator for NeuroVersity Colorado
As NeuroVersity’s coordinator for Colorado, Dina brings over 12 years of experience working with neuro-diverse populations as an educator with school districts across the front range, supporter of the Temple Grandin School and the Autism Society of Boulder County, and founder of Longmont Educational Advancement Partnership – LEAP.
Most recently, Dina coordinated and facilitated NeuroVersity’s summer Career Exploration Workshop in affiliation with the Front Range Community College – Boulder County Campus and Trimble SketchUp.
NeuroVersity Colorado provides youth and transition-aged adults on the Autism Spectrum with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through technology, while working with their peers to strengthen social skills. Using SketchUp, a free downloadable 3-D graphics design program, students will discover how their skills and natural abilities can potentially translate into meaningful jobs.
In addition to coordinating workshops for NeuroVersity, Dina provides students, their parents, and their educators with academic and behavioral support through her educational consulting business, Longmont Educational Advancement Partnership – LEAP. “My personal goal is to engage community businesses and community colleges into partnership with NeuroVersity Colorado, in order to integrate our workshop students into meaningful employment and higher education.”
